Nicole's Work Encapsulates the Extraordinary Stories
of everyday people, places + projects

She/her

I am a documentary photographer based on Wathaurong country in Geelong, Victoria. Australia.

I aim to live lightly and respectfully on this country and to create and share authentic, diverse and inclusive stories.

Stories that recognise and appreciate the strange and awesome circumstances of being human.

Stories that amplify marginalised voices and connect us as stronger communities.

Stories with a heartbeat and a twist in the telling.

Through my photography, I aim to experiment and innovate; with approach, layout, alternative processes or exhibition venue. I also teach photography and visual storytelling. I enjoy the exchange of inspiration and energy I experience with my students.

For me, sharing photography is a big part of the power and purpose of photography.

Acknowledgement to Country

I respectfully acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Eastern Kulin Nation on whose land I live and work. I offer my respect to the elders past, present and emerging, recognising their continuing connection to land, water, culture and community.
