A lumen print is essentially a solar photogram – a camera-less process involving black and white photographic paper, a subject matter that usually (but not always) consists of an organic material, and a UV source (I’m using the sun)

I just love the tactility of this process, working with and observing plants, experimenting and playing. The lumen print process is pretty straightforward – arrange your subject on paper, under glass, and place in the sun —.but there are limitless variations.

I like the eco element of it too – using expired darkroom paper and a non toxic fixer (or none at all)
