Hi, Nicole here. This is a little behind the scenes info on this project, to provide some context for you to enjoy the imagery more closely.

This project was created for the Rail, Train and Bus Union for their Safer Stations campaign. The brief was fairly open to interpretation, so I chose to represent the stories of women using public transport. Along with most women, I’ve had many vulnerable moments using public transport in Australia; lewd behaviour, being followed from stations, the list goes on and on.

Particularly unmanned stations, the sense of risk and isolation is heightened. These are the feelings I aimed to embed in the imagery.
